Announcing the 5th Annual Academy of Marketing Science (AMS)

The Academy of Marketing Science is strongly committed to nurturing the future academic talents of our discipline. In line with that goal, we are proud to invite applications to the 5th Annual AMS Doctoral Consortium, which will be held in conjunction with the AMS Annual Conference in May 2019 at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver, Canada. Doctoral students worldwide who (1) are completing, or have completed, at least 3 years of their program, and (2) will be ABD status by the time they attend the consortium, are eligible for nomination. Students must be nominated by their dissertation chairs or committee members.

The Doctoranl Consortium kicks off with breakfast on Friday, May 31st and concludes at noon on Saturday, June 1st.  Students will attend the 5th Annual Theory Forum, sponsored by AMS Review and chaired by Manjit Yadav, which runs from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Friday, May 31st. The student registration cost for the doctoral consortium is $250 for Early-Bird Registration (deadline 3/31/2019), $350 for registration after the deadline, and $450 for on-site registration.

At the Doctoral Consortium, eminent scholars across the various subfields of marketing will facilitate interactive sessions focused on enhancing students’ research with the goal of preparing them for a successful career as a scholar.  Due to a limit on the number of attendees, students will enjoy a small-group atmosphere in the sessions and have multiple opportunities to engage in individual interactions with the facilitating faculty and speakers.

In order to achieve the intended concentrated faculty/student interaction, attendees will be selected on a competitive basis. NOTE: Only one student may be nominated from each University. Each nominated student must complete an application form

Please submit these materials before the application deadline of Monday, February 4, 2019.

You will be notified by email of your acceptance status by March 1, 2019.
