  • Do I have to be an active AMS member to register for a conference?

    Yes. All active members, including students, may register for a conference. International members may be subject to obtaining travel visas to attend a conference and must be either an invited guest or on the program.

  • Do I have to be on a conference program to attend?

    No. However, participation on a program provides you an official invitation letter to a conference should you need this for visa application purposes. We do not issue official invitation letters to individuals uninvolved with the program.

  • Can I purchase guest tickets for a conference?

    Yes, if guest tickets are available. You can purchase them on the conference registration page.

  • If I am a student invited to attend the Doctoral Consortium, do I have to register for the conference?

    Yes. All students invited to attend the Doctoral Consortium must register and pay for the conference after registering for the Doctoral Consortium.

  • May I complete conference registration on paper rather than online?

    Yes. You can access a fillable PDF on the conference page.
