2014 AMS Annual Conference - Indianapolis, IN

Join us in Indianapolis, Wednesday, May 21 through Friday, May 23 at the fabulous JW Marriott Hotel.  The deadline for making reservations at the JW Marriot is April 18.  After that time, the hotel does not have to honor the special rates.  The conference preliminary program is now available.

Click on the calendar at the left for more information including pre-conference events.The conference precedes the Indy 500 motor race which takes place the following Sunday (May 25).

The AMS Review Theory Forum brings together leading marketing scholars, such as Shelby Hunt, Ajay Kohli, Robert Lusch, and William Wilkie, to share their perspectives on theory development in marketing. Although the marketing discipline remains vibrant and progress continues to be made on multiple fronts, there has been growing concern in recent years about the lack of emphasis on conceptual/theoretical contributions. This is detrimental to long-term knowledge development in our field and significantly diminishes its impact and influence. 2014 AMS World Marketing Congress - Lima, Peru

The AMS WMC will take place in Lima, Peru on the beautiful campus of ESAN University.  Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Lima is the center of business and culture for the country. Peru was the home of the Inca Empire. 2014 AMS-Sheth Foundation Faculty Consortium - Lima, Peru

2013 AMS Annual Conference a Huge Success

The 2013 AMS Annual Conference is complete.  Four hundred marketing scholars from around the world attended the event on the beautiful Monterey Pennisula in California.  Thanks to Leyland and Costas for putting together the program, thanks as well to the staff at the Portola Hotel in Monterey,  Robert Barker of Bernardus Wines (bernardus.com) for the wines and lessons during the wine marketing session, and special thanks to all of you who attended.  We look forward to seeing you next year in Indianapolis.

 

2013 AMS World Marketing Congress 

The 16th AMS WMC took place July 17- 20 in Melbourne, Australia.  Monash University cohosted the event with the  theme "Looking Forward, Looking Back: Drawing on the Past to Shape the Future of Marketing." John Ford and Mike Ewing served as program chairs.  Among highlights was the naming of the 2013 Academy of Marketing Science Global Marketer Award winner.  John Zeigler, Chairman and CEO of DDB Group Asia  Pacific, India and Japan, received the award during the Congress Luncheon held at the Melbourne Town Hall.  For more on the Award follow this link:  Zeigler Honoured.   Plans are underway for the 2014 AMS WMC to be held in August, 2014 at ESAN in Lima, Peru.  See the calendar of events at the left for more information.

15th World Marketing Congress at RMS Complete!

The 15th AMS World Marketing Congress is now complete. The Congress attracted nearly 500 scholars from 49 different countries.  Much discussion centered around the theme "The Customer is Not Always Right."  A gala dinner at Champagne Pommerey climaxed the event and the WMC attendees had a great time and danced until the earlly morning.  We'll be posting pictures soon! Thanks to all  that attended and a very special thanks to everyone at Reims Management School (RMS).  Not only is RMS a premier business school, but a premier and gracious host!
