AMS Circles are inclusive communities supported by AMS members who share common interests.
The goal of AMS Circles is to create more of a community and stimulate conversation among AMS members surrounding important topics of interest to the academic marketing community.
An AMS Circle can reflect any specific theme which is of interest to AMS members and the larger academic community. AMS members who have a desire to launch a new Circle or join an existing Circle should contact the Director of AMS Circles at the email address provided below.
Circle Leaders and Members
For any given AMS Circle, Circle leaders are identified who will be responsible for the startup, growth, and operations of the Circle. Circle leaders will work with and be supported by the Director of AMS Circles and AMS leadership.
AMS Circle leaders and members establish research priorities, cultivate and expand membership, and engage in focal activities throughout the year.
Focal Activities
Circle leaders and members work closely with the Director of AMS Circles and relevant AMS Executive Committee officers in identifying and implementing focal activities. Focal activities have the primary goal of facilitating ongoing conversations around the research priorities and/or the themes of the Circle.
Such activities can include establishing special sessions at AMS conferences, creating or curating relevant content, sharing conversations and resources on digital channels, and facilitating pathways for member contributions, among many other potential activities. All activities are member-driven and supported by AMS leadership.
