Message from the President: May 2025
Are you as excited as I am about the upcoming conference season? It’s one of the busiest times of the year, but also one of the most rewarding. Academic conferences are where ideas come to life — they’re a chance to get valuable feedback on your work, stay current with the latest developments, and get inspired by innovative research designs and fresh insights.
More than that, conferences are where lasting collaborations begin. One of the most pivotal moments in my own academic journey was meeting Joe F. Hair at the 2009 AMS Annual Conference in Baltimore. That single encounter led to dozens of co-authored papers and textbooks — and truly marked the beginning of my academic career. I honestly believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without that chance meeting.
That’s why I’m really looking forward to the Annual Conference in Montreal (May 21-23) and the World Marketing Congress in Dijon (July 02-04) — and I hope to see you there! If you haven’t registered yet, now’s the perfect time to do so.
